What does a divorce coach do?

What is divorce coaching?

Divorce coaching is defined by the American Bar Association as “a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to support, motivate, and guide people going through divorce to help them make the best possible decisions for their future, based on their particular interests, needs, and concerns”.

When we work through the powerful emotions that are often experienced at the end of a marriage, tension and resentment decrease and people are able to make better decisions for themselves and their children. Sometimes, this can lead to a mediated, uncontested or abbreviated divorce process, saving you and your spouse time and money and protecting you and your children from additional emotional stress.

Working with a Divorce Coach puts you in a position where you can think clearly, prepare and take action wisely, and come out of your divorce feeling empowered to start your new life.
